Terms of Service

These terms apply between you and Liseums, an independent web studio based in Brisbane, Queensland. They cover subscriptions to a Liseums plan and use of this website and our directory, including through an AI assistant. If you subscribe for a business, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

We will give you our full business details on request, and on any invoice where the law requires them.

Each plan includes what is listed for it in our pricing section when you subscribe. Features marked as not yet available are not part of the service until we tell you they are, and we will not charge extra for them on your plan when they arrive.

We design your page with you and publish it after you approve it. We aim to keep the service available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free, and we may carry out maintenance from time to time.

You must give us accurate business information and keep it up to date, and you must own or have permission to use the text, photos and logos you provide. You keep ownership of your content and allow us to use it to provide and promote the service you subscribe to, including showing it in our directory and to AI assistants.

You remain responsible for your own offers, prices, bookings, compliance and dealings with your customers. You must not use the service for anything unlawful, misleading or harmful, or try to disrupt it or misuse it.

AI front desks are automated and answer from the information a business has approved, but AI can make mistakes. Their answers are general information, not professional advice, and do not bind the business unless it confirms them. Please check anything important, including allergies, prices and availability, with the business directly.

Directory results are ranked by relevance, with no paid placement. Business details, including opening hours, come from the businesses, and we do not guarantee they are accurate or current. Businesses marked as fictional or samples do not exist.

We pass booking requests between customers and businesses. A request is not a booking until the business confirms it. Any booking or purchase is a contract between the customer and the business, which is responsible for honouring it. Liseums is not a party to it.

Plans are billed monthly in advance in Australian dollars, through Stripe, to the payment method you choose at checkout. By subscribing you authorise these recurring charges until you cancel.

Liseums is not registered for GST, so no GST is charged and our invoices are not tax invoices. If this changes, we will tell you at least 30 days before any change to what you pay.

If a payment fails, your page stays online while Stripe retries. We may pause your page only after all retries fail, and it returns once your account is up to date.

You can cancel at any time using the subscription link in your Stripe receipt or by emailing us. There is no cancellation fee. Your plan continues until the end of the period you have paid for and is not charged again.

When your plan ends we take your page down. On request, we will give you your text and photos and help you move any domain registered in your name.

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes those rights. For a major failure you can cancel and receive a refund for the unused portion; for other failures we will fix the problem within a reasonable time.

Apart from those rights, we do not refund part periods if you change your mind.

We will email you at least 30 days before we raise your price or make a change that disadvantages you. If you do not agree, you can cancel before it takes effect and you will not be charged the new price.

We may suspend or end your subscription if you seriously breach these terms and do not fix the breach within 14 days of our notice, or immediately where the law requires or to prevent harm. If we stop offering the service for our own reasons, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and refund amounts paid for any period after it ends.

This clause does not limit any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be limited. Where the law allows us to limit our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee, it is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, each party is liable to the other only for direct loss caused by its own breach or negligence, up to the total fees paid in the 12 months before the claim, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits. Liseums is not liable for the acts or omissions of businesses listed in the directory, or for a customer's reliance on information those businesses provide.

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the courts of Queensland have jurisdiction. If there is a dispute, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it in good faith. Questions or complaints: liseumsbne@gmail.com.
